I’m a strong believer that each individual can discover new insights and make personal growth with a collaborative approach to therapy. You are the expert on yourself. I have been trained to listen and bring new tools, new perspectives, and new resources for you to utilize.
Some of my clients find lasting value in digging deep and addressing root causes that have influenced their thoughts and behaviors for years. Others value focused help to resolve or manage a specific problem or challenge. The one thing they have in common is that each approach requires we collaborate, requiring effort and hard work from both of us.
Some clients respond well to therapy with a directive approach including “homework,” concrete handouts and tools. Others prefer an explorative approach. You and I collaborate to choose the best tool for your particular job.
Many of my clients quickly learn to better understand the parts that make up themselves; the self-critic, the victim, the people pleaser, the inadequate part. Better understanding of our parts can often help us recognize “who” is driving our life decisions. With new insights we can begin to nourish our less-extreme parts and lead from a more effective and authentic self. I believe we all have special skills and talents. Learning to lead from our authentic selves rather than extreme parts allows these skills and talents to flourish.
I have experience addressing anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, trauma, sexual dysfunction, gender/identity issues, obsessive compulsive disorder, anger management, addiction and many other mental health issues.
Progress is important. Making progress in our awareness and making change can be both meaningful and exciting but can be trying and upsetting. All of the potential hard feelings, frustration, irritability, anger, sadness, can mean we’re moving toward really great work. We’re in it together and you will be fully supported.

Q: Do you prescribe medication?
I do not have a license to prescribe medications. I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with your doctor, or provide a referral for a qualified physician to explore medication options.
Q: How often will we meet?
Typically, I meet with clients once per week for 50 to 90 minutes.
Q: How confidential are the sessions?
Information disclosed by clients is strictly confidential. The only exception to this is disclosure required or permitted by law.

Cash, checks, and debit/credit cards are accepted. Payment is expected at each session unless otherwise discussed.
If your insurance has benefits for counseling, I will provide you with a monthly receipt after payment and you can submit this receipt to your insurance company for possible reimbursement as per your company’s regulations. I am an in network provider with Regence BlueShield, Cigna, and First Choice Health, Providence/Optum.

Cancellation Policy: 24-hour notice is required for cancellation. Missed sessions without adequate notice will result in a $50 charge.
